Sein EroseA highschool boy who has lost his memory when he was involved in an accident five years ago. Woken up in a hospital by a man with orange glowing eyes, he obtained a curious object: a small iron ball. Wanting to find more about himself he tried out a variety of hobbies, including each club at his school. But his lack of team spirit and his want to learn more about himself resulted in him being conceived as egocentric.
"I awoke without memories, the basis of a person"
"To have no memories, to be nothing" "It should leave you purposeless" "But to me, the lack of myself gave me a purpose" "To find who I am." |
Mia Reinkeji
A childhood friend of Sein and one of the few people that can read past Sein's stoic demeanor. Sein genuinely cares for her, but it can be hard to keep up with the human embodiment of a bounceball. She also attends the same school as him, but due to her condition she could only return to school recently. Although socially adept she prefers to just stick around with Sein and the people who can tolerate them both.
"What?! Wake up by myself?"
"And make my personal alarm clock lose its only purpose?!" "NEVER!" |
Daniel Cato
An easy-going, but peculiar person who goes out and about even during school, but as long as he remains the top student the school blinks for the duration of his off-school curriculum. Believing that Sein is one of the few interesting people at the school, he befriended him six months ago. Offering to help him in his almost philosophical quest of finding himself, Sein accepted. With his impressive knowledge about the human mind, there is not much of a better person to turn to.
"You know Sein, I have two hands"
"It's hard to believe, I know, but it's true" "I have two hands, therefore I can save two cats" "But I only have one back, therefore I can only carry the weight of a single person at a time" "That's why I want to become a psychiatrist" "After all, I have two hands and one back, but a million braincells" "Therefore I can save a million people!" "But of course only if the future will let me" |
Elizabeth Ganzfeld
Coming from an orphanage, she currently manages to live on her own due to a special program for those who excel in academics. It also allows her to attend at the same school as Mia and Sein, but with her attitude and mental capacity to see right through other people she is often at odds with the teachers. At the archery club she practices diligently, but Elizabeth trains with one goal in mind: Finding a specific person of interest.
"It is a fool's errand to yearn for the past
The only thing that we can change is the here and now And that's exactly what I am planning to do" |
Shiro Inanis
A transfer student introduced by Daniel. Her stoic insightfulness is contrasted by her apparent naivete of this the modern world.
"The moon is beautiful tonight...is that so? A celestial object representing longevity, an ideal for humans to reach towards. But how can I even dream of reaching for the moon? If I am not even able to reach the ground I am standing on"
